In the year 2014 the author went for two field trips (April-May and November) to Albania. Also in 2015 (end of April until beginning of May) the author went to the researching areas. During this time many locations around Tirana were discovered. Mostly the mountains that are close to the capital especially the Dajti massiv were checked. The focus of the investigations was to xyliobiont beetles. Examing deadwood, tree hollows, flowers and sifting leaf litter were the main catching methods. After research the following species should be new to the fauna of Albania.
Thanks to the helping hands especially in cases of difficult determination and further faunistic informations: Volker Assing, Friedhelm Bahr, Christoph Germann, Tamás Németh, Klaus Renner, Eckehard Rössner, Peter Sprick, Peter Stüben. Special thanks to Christian Gärtner who has walked with me in the mountains and took the photos published in this paper.
